What we collect
Your email address, and nothing else. We do not ask for your name, your phone number, or any information about your device. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.
If you email us directly at care@distracked.co, we will also hold whatever you chose to write in that message.
Why we collect it
To send you a single notification when DisTracked is available to download, and occasional short updates before then if there is genuine news. That is the entire purpose.
The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
Who processes it
Waitlist emails are stored and sent through Brevo, an email service provider operating under EU data protection law. Brevo processes the data on our instructions and does not use it for their own purposes. Their privacy notice is at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until twelve months after launch, whichever comes first. If DisTracked does not launch, we will delete the entire waitlist and tell you we have done so.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click removes you. You do not need to give a reason and we will not email you to ask for one.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you the right to:
- AccessAsk what we hold about you, which will be your email address and the date you joined.
- RectificationAsk us to correct it if it is wrong.
- ErasureAsk us to delete it entirely.
- Withdraw consentUnsubscribe at any time, with no effect on anything that came before.
- ComplainRaise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think we have handled your data badly.
To exercise any of these, email care@distracked.co. We will respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner, because there are two of us and the list is short.
About the app itself
The DisTracked app is built to work entirely on your device. App usage and lock activity stay on your phone and are not uploaded to us. When the app launches we will publish a fuller policy covering it, and we will notify waitlist members if anything material changes.
